Charles Lloyd
Charles Lloyd
Charles Lloyd is one of the most celebrated jazz artists in the world and was recently awarded a rare quadruple crown in DownBeat magazine’s critics’ poll–a feat only matched by John Coltrane.

Voted DownBeat magazine’s Artist of the Year in 1967, Charles Lloyd was again voted Artist of the Year in 2023. And in 2024 he was honored with a rare DownBeat Critic’s Poll quadruple crown; Hall of Fame, Artist of the Year, Album of the Year, and Tenor Saxophonist of the Year–John Coltrane being the only other artist to receive that honor.
The 86-year-old master’s current Blue Note album, The Sky Will Still Be There Tomorrow stands as one of the most significant recordings of his career. With threads of gospel and blues, spiritual power, and pristine beauty, the album has received worldwide critical acclaim.
Beyond the jazz world, his ethereal sounds enthralled rock royalty from the Beach Boys to the Grateful Dead, from Hendrix to Joplin. From his deep connection to the blues of his native Memphis to his deified jazz stature, from his continuing collaborations with Indian tabla master Zakir Hussain, rock and country goddess Lucinda Williams, and jazz guitar giant Bill Frisell, to the power and beauty of his newest quartet recording, Charles Lloyd continues to be, in the words of Carlos Santana, “an international music treasure.”

Bill Frisell
Learn moreBill Frisell is an intuitive genius, a melodic master, and a guitarist who makes it look easy.
"Music, for me, has always been a place where anything is possible--a refuge, a magical world where anyone can go, where all kinds of people can come together, and anything can happen. We are limited only by our imaginations" - Bill Frisell
He first came to prominence at ECM Records in the 1980s, as both a session player and a leader. Frisell's major break came when guitarist Pat Metheny was unable to make a recording session and recommended Frisell to Paul Motian, who was recording Psalm for ECM Records.

In his formative years, Rogers received encouragement from his parents to explore his musical talent. He began with the clarinet, experimented with the piano, drums, and guitar, and at the age of 14 found his true passion in the bass.
He began touring professionally at the age of 17.
Committed to supporting the arts in the Virgin Islands, Rogers returns when his schedule permits to conduct music workshops in local schools and organize fundraising concerts that benefit the education of today's island youth.
